So I asked Ronald; “why tour and travel company?” In the last couple of years the tourism industry has gone through rapid changes with the industry shooting to be the second most income generator of both foreign exchange as well as local development. We have noticed a lot of people especially the youth take initiative to get involved in this industry by setting up small tour and travel companies. I always thought maybe it is an easy job to do, but being in the field i realized it’s hard work on many many levels. It’s like a first date every day, like an interview that goes on for days and you can’t catch a break because it is one client after another and you have to start all over again. Trying to impress strangers, be informative and easy going at the same time is not easy.

Personally I’m not the kind that can stand monotony, i eventually hate what i’m doing and start dreading going to work. Not Ronald, He will visit the same game parks, stay at the same lodges, drive on the same roads but make it look like the first time. Every client gets the treatment they deserve and the journey/activities a notch more interesting than anticipated. Loving what you do has always been the number one motivational tool in every profession but working with Ronald has made me appreciate that in a whole new light.

Answering all the questions the best way he can, being honest and modest, always being on time, and ensuring that their needs are always met any day anytime. It takes passion for someone to go an extra mile like that. People are complicated, learning how to handle them in the way that makes them feel comfortable in a foreign land – in the shortest time period and being satisfying to meet their expectations is something that comes easy to Ronald as breathing comes to us.
